About Us

Garrett’s Florist, located at the busy intersection of S. Greensboro and Fayetteville St. and in operation since 1965, has become somewhat of an institution in the small town of Liberty, NC.  When owner Roberta Garrett retired in 2011, designer Jim Bryant and local farmer Robert Raudenbush took over the business – renamed Garrett’s Flower Shop - with the intention of incorporating as many naturally grown local flowers as possible into modern floral design.

Our shop is still a work in progress toward minimal reliance on imported products – this means more money in the hands of local farmers that ultimately contributes to a sustainable, healthy local economy. All of our locally purchased flowers are raised without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers – safer products to have in your home and much easier on Mother Earth to get them there.

Full service floral design does demand the use of flowers that cannot be grown locally year- round, but in the spring, summer and fall you will find many unusual local flowers incorporated into our work. Stop in anytime during the growing season and we guarantee you will find a friendly face and a display cooler bursting with specialty cut flowers – at competitive prices - that you probably won’t find at other florists and will never find in a chain grocery store. We look forward to meeting you!
